Rowing Info Session Offered This Sunday

New this year:  We are offering a Rowing Information Session for new and returning parents in conjunction with the Spring Season registration meeting on Jan. 22.  If you need tips on viewing a regatta or translating terms your rower uses, this meeting is for you! Meet outside the entrance to the Landing at either 2 pm or 3:30 pm for a brief review of rowing basics and tour of the boathouse.  The AJRA travel coordinator also will be on hand to answer questions about  spring regattas.   Later this spring, AJRA will  host a “College Rowing 101″ information session–look for date, time and location to be announced soon.

Remember to Check Crew Line for Practice Cancellations

Parents and Rowers:  Remember to check the Crew Line at 404-365-2400 if you have a question about whether practice at the boathouse is cancelled.  The Crew Line is updated no later than 3:30 pm only as needed so listen for the date at the beginning of the message.  Coaches consider temperature, wind conditions, windchill factor, precipitation, and potential for lightning in determining whether land and/or water practices need to be cancelled.  Listen to the entire Crew Line message as sometimes not all squads are cancelled.   Contact your coach if you have a question but please do not leave any messages on the Crew Line.
